Brandon Santini Live April 18th 2020 Image
Date: April 18th Doors Open: 6:30 pm Show Time: 8:00 pm $20.00 Donation There are many different opinions as to what the future of the blues harmonica will be. International touring vocalist and harmonica player Brandon Santini is undeniably a worthy player to keep an eye on as the latest surge of young blues artists leave their footprint in blues history. His name is worthy of conversations that include James Cotton, Kim Wilson, Dennis Gruenling, Charlie Musselwhite and other frontline harmonica players by combining his love and respect for traditional blues with a present, colorful style of playing that is often compared to James Cotton or Paul Butterfield. Raised in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, Santini purchased his first harmonica in 1997 at the age of fifteen when his mother took him to the local music store upon his request. He founded the Blues Music Award nominated band Delta Highway in 2003 and relocated to Memphis where he absorbed the sounds and culture of the Delta and North Mississippi Hill Country, honing his craft night after night, sweating it out in local Beale Street clubs just like Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, and B.B. King did decades before him. Now playing over 100 shows per year throughout the world, Santini has garnered five Blues Music Award nominations, festival headlining slots and even performing on stage with the likes of Buddy Guy and Gary Clark, Jr.

KALO Live March 21st 2020 Image
Date: March 21st Doors Open: 6:30 pm Show time: 8:00 pm $20.00 Donation

Israeli guitarist, singer and songwriter Bat-Or Kalo fronts her eponymous trio and also travels and tours the U.S. and Israel solo (wearing only her last name and her vintage Gibson electric guitar). Fiery, unbridled and electrifying, KALO’s guitar chops and contralto voice are a force like none other. Sexy guitar. Infectious rhythms. Smoky vocals. KALO is groovesome rhythm & Blues meets fiery rock 'n' roll.

KALO defies convention, channeling power trios like The Police, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Rush or Cream. Much in the vein of Led Zeppelin, the band fuses blues-influenced songs with rock and roll anthems and electric shows. With only a bass, guitar and drums, the band delivers powerful stage performances and an unparalleled sound.

Within the past two years, KALO has opened for Los Angeles-based rocker Andy Frasco, the godfather of British blues, John Mayall, Texas guitar phenom Chris Duarte and others. KALO has shared billing with acts like Avett Brothers, Robert Randolph & the Family Band and many more.

Kris Lager Live Dec 28th 2019 Image
Date: Dec 28th 2019 Door Open: 6:30 pm Show time: 8:00 pm $20.00 Donation   We Are Defined By The Stories We Tell.  - by Kris Lager The Kris Lager Band's purpose is not to convince you that greatness lives on a stage, in your TV, smart phone, or in your stereo. The intent and purpose of our music is to awaken the greatness that lives within us all.  I do believe we are all the same, and that we are all equals, and not anyone of us are better or lesser than anyone else.  My goal as a performer and an artist is to find peace and tolerance through song and dance and spread it to the audience and the listener. I've been fortunate enough to travel around playing music for almost twenty years now and I've had some form of The Kris Lager Band going since I was 17.  Over the course of two decades I've had the opportunity to learn and become aware of things I didn't even know existed when I started performing.  Through many lessons and personal revelations I've been able to rediscover my motivations many times and also reshape my outlook and find purpose as an entertainer. I started out just wanting to simply make my guitar cry and scream like my guitar heroes that I grew up listening to and loving.  It made me feel good and I figured that if I delivered this music with passion and intensity that it would resonate.  I believe it did, but there was more that I wasn't aware of and there was something I was missing.  Then after many bouts of disenchantment with the music business which led to a lot of soul searching I feel I discovered my calling, my magic trick.  I discovered the beauty of serving the audience and intentionally setting out to lift up their spirits; while also delivering the music I loved.  This mindset allowed me to focus less on myself and more on the audience, my band, and the big picture of what music is all about in the first place. I believe music shouldn't be about how great the listener thinks the performer is but yet how great the music makes the listener feel.  It truly is a shift in perspective that gives the message precedence over the messenger.  An interesting perspective considering in America we are raised in a culture heavy on idolizing our leaders and obsessing over celebrity.  I want to help change our course. I believe music and art is crucial to the health of our society.  Music and art makes us feel connected, it eases our pain and suffering and perhaps most importantly raises the human spirit to heights otherwise unimaginable.
